Welcome to Shippendam Airedales

For the past six years, we at Shippendam Airedales have prided ourselves in producing the best quality Airedales possible. Shippendam kennel is a small family run kennel in central Pennsylvania. We test all our breeding stock for OFA hips and routinely screen for all other genetic defects. We strive to meet the breed standard and select all breed stock on that basis.

We strongly believe that without excellent temperament you have obtained nothing in breeding or improving the breed, so we only include dogs in our breeding program known to have a great temperament.

We pride ourselves in observing each litter to determine the personality of each of our puppies and using that information to make the best possible match between the puppy and their new home. In addition, we feel it is our job and responsibility to start the socialization process for each of our pups and provide that information to the new owners. We like to follow the progress of our pups for the first two years of life and are glad to act as resources to all of our new owners.
